Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for and on behalf of Liberty Information Technology Limited (“Liberty IT”)
Liberty Information Technology Limited (“Liberty IT”) is a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Technology Group, which in turn is part of the Corporate Services Group of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group (“LMIG”). LIT is a company registered in Northern Ireland under registration number NI031780. LIT provides technology solutions to group associate companies within LMIG.
This statement has been made pursuant to the obligations arising under section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Anti-slavery and anti-human trafficking policies
LIT is committed to ensuring that human trafficking and modern slavery do not exist in the supply chains in any part of Liberty IT’s business. Liberty IT has and will continue to maintain a zero tolerance for modern slavery and human trafficking and will be taking all necessary steps to ensure that this is maintained. Liberty IT’s internal and external whistleblowing procedures, which are published and regularly updated on Liberty IT’s intranet page, are ingrained in the company’s corporate culture.
Due diligence processes and risk assessment method
Liberty IT understands the importance of introducing effective steps to ensure human trafficking and modern slavery is not supported at any level of business.
Liberty IT will use rigorous due diligence processes to help identify potential suppliers and supply chains who hold values similar to that of Liberty IT, insisting on a zero tolerance on modern slavery and human trafficking.
Risk analysis and identification is of paramount importance to Liberty IT. The following steps and procedures are designed to identify and assess areas of risk and ensure that all areas of Liberty IT’s business comply with Liberty IT’s philosophy:
Any material and high risk supply chains and contractors are asked to confirm compliance to ensure that they do not assist, contribute or actively participate in modern slavery and human trafficking.
Liberty IT reserves a right of audit with any material and high risk supplier or contractor.
Training
Liberty IT will initiate a process of regular training for relevant employees to help raise awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking. It is Liberty IT’s intention for all employees to be aware of Liberty IT’s stance. Training will assist employees on how to identify and combat risks of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Effectiveness
By way of effectively combatting modern slavery and human trafficking, Liberty IT brings this statement to the attention of all Liberty IT employees.
All employees who will commence employment at Liberty IT are required to read this statement as part of their induction to Liberty IT.
