An inclusive workplace is shaped by the groups people build, the support around real life and the everyday choices teams make to listen, learn and do better.
Belonging often starts small. A conversation, a shared interest, a group you decide to join, or someone taking the time to help you see things from another angle.
Our employee-led groups give our people and allies space to connect, learn from each other and shape our culture. Women in Tech, Pride, Able and Unity each bring people together around different experiences, and each is open to anyone who wants to take part or support the work.
Women in Tech helps women build technical careers and keep moving forward.
The group runs mentoring circles, meet-ups and International Women’s Day events. It also supports people returning from maternity or extended leave, and gives women opportunities to speak about their work and experience.
The work reaches beyond Liberty IT too, through programmes such as SistersIN and CreateHER at University of Galway.
Having that mentorship has greatly supported my growth, enabling me to develop confidence as both a designer and a problem solver.
Able champions accessibility, disability inclusion and neurodiversity across Liberty IT.
The group worked with our Talent team to create a Neurodiversity Resource Hub and runs People Libraries, where employees share their own experiences to help build awareness and understanding.
Most of this comes back to one idea: people do better work when they can work in a way that suits them - small adjustments can make a big difference.
Pride gives LGBTQ+ employees and allies a place to connect and be visible throughout the year.
The group runs a Certified Ally programme, which helps people understand LGBTQIA+ experiences and feel more confident as allies.
Around that there’s Pride Month learning, knowledge shares, in-office celebrations and Pride events across our three offices.
