Liberty IT Forward Live 2025: exploring AI, emerging tech & the future of software engineering

A day dedicated to learning, connection and the technologies shaping tomorrow

This year’s Liberty IT Forward Live, brought teams together for a day focused on learning, inspiration and collective momentum. More than 500 of our team from Galway, Dublin and Belfast came together at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, united by a shared curiosity about the future of technology and the role Liberty IT will play in shaping it.

The event featured a full programme of expert-led sessions, emerging technology insights and real-world engineering stories from across the organisation. And above all, it reflected what makes Liberty IT unique: a community of people who learn together, build together and innovate together.

Exploring our transforming industry

The Forward Live agenda explored some of the most influential shifts in technology today, from the practical to the pioneering. Sessions covered topics such as: ‘Building Innovative, Intelligent Solutions with AI’, ‘Rise of the Digital Workforce’, ‘MLOps Best Practices’, ‘Real-World AI Delivery’, ‘Emerging Trends in Autonomous AI’, ‘Developments in Quantum Computing’ and ‘Building Trust in AI Through User-Centred Design’.

The conference also welcomed guest speakers and partners from across the industry, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), with Russell Kaplan, Founding President of artificial intelligence company Cognition, delivering the closing keynote ‘The Future of Software Engineering’.

These sessions weren’t just about what’s new, they were about what’s useful, what’s changing and what Liberty IT’s teams need to know as they design the next wave of digital solutions for Liberty Mutual.

Celebrating growth and momentum

Opening the event, Tony Marron, Managing Director and Global Engineering Capability Lead, reflected on a year marked by progress, ambition and the strength of Liberty IT’s people.

Recognising our first Culture Stars

One of the standout moments of Forward Live 2025 was the announcement of Liberty IT’s first six Culture Stars — employees recognised for exemplifying the values and mindsets at the heart of the newly launched Culture Playbook.

Their stories will continue to be shared across Liberty IT in the months ahead as part of a wider work to spotlight the people powering the company’s culture and success.

Looking ahead together

A complete success, Liberty IT Forward Live 2025, captured what defines Liberty IT: innovation grounded in purpose, powered by people, and fuelled by continuous learning.

With emerging technologies reshaping the digital landscape and new opportunities unfolding across AI, engineering and design, the conference reinforced a shared commitment - to keep experimenting, keep learning and keep building what comes next.
