Reflecting On A Year Shaped By Our People
It's a great time to look back on what made 2025 such a memorable one here at Liberty IT! With exciting technology developments and impressive innovation, the way our people learned, shared and connected helped define the year.
Over the past 12 months, employees across Belfast, Dublin and Galway came together to grow their skills, support their communities and strengthen the relationships that make Liberty IT a great place to work.
Here’s a look back at some of the moments that shaped our year.
Learn: Growing Skills, Curiosity And Confidence
Learning has always been central to life at Liberty IT, and 2025 was no exception. From specialist tech training and AWS certifications to leadership programmes and career development pathways, the year was packed with opportunities to learn and grow.
One of the standout highlights was the successful completion of another TechStart graduate programme, a programme that supports early-career engineers as they transition from study into industry with confidence and real-world experience.
In September, colleagues from across the business came together in Dublin for Forward Live, our annual conference dedicated to learning, innovation and connection. Expert-led sessions explored everything from AI and MLOps best practices to emerging technologies shaping the future of software engineering.
Innovation also took centre stage at the Liberty Mutual Ignite Hackathon, where teams from Liberty IT competed alongside colleagues from across the global organisation. With 16 teams taking part and two Liberty IT teams bringing home three awards, Ignite was a brilliant showcase of the creativity, collaboration and technical excellence that exists across our teams.
Beyond structured programmes, learning happened every day through shared experiences. Tech Shares, Unconferences and Promptathons created space for teams to learn from one another, explore new ideas and keep curiosity at the heart of our culture.
Across the business, our teams clocked up over 25,000 hours of formal training, spanning technical capability, leadership development and emerging technologies - a fantastic achievement and a testament to our learn-it-all mindset.
Share: Making A Difference Beyond Our Work
In 2025, sharing extended far beyond our day-to-day roles. Through our Serve with Liberty programme, employees volunteered more than 1,250 hours, supporting causes that matter across our local communities.
Our teams also raised over £18,000 for Cancer Fund for Children, thanks to the collective efforts of colleagues who ran, rowed, baked, played sport, volunteered their time and took on countless fundraising challenges. Every hour volunteered and every pound raised reflect the generosity and commitment of our people.
Sharing knowledge and opportunity was also a major focus this year. Our STEAM Studio programme continued to grow in Belfast and was proudly launched in Galway, inspiring junior cycle students through creative, hands-on learning that blended technology with culture and heritage. Alongside school and college visits by our STEM Ambassadors, Liberty IT reached over 5,500 young people in 2025, sparking curiosity and opening doors to future tech careers.
Connect: Creating Spaces And Moments That Bring Us Together
With more than 850 employees across three sites, connection matters. In 2025, Liberty IT opened two new city-centre offices in Dublin and Galway, designed with collaboration, flexibility and connection in mind.
From town hall spaces and innovation areas to smaller rooms for focused work, the new offices support different ways of working while creating opportunities for teams to come together, whether that’s for problem-solving, learning or simply catching up over coffee.
Connection also happened through the moments in between. Social Clubs across all sites met regularly throughout the year, bringing people together for everything from informal meet-ups to their annual weekend away. Alongside social events following major company moments, these gatherings helped strengthen relationships and create a sense of belonging across the business.
Looking Ahead
As we close out 2025, one thing is clear: it’s our people who make Liberty IT what it is. Their curiosity fuels learning, their generosity strengthens our communities, and their connections bring our culture to life every day.
